Ashley’s Ashes wins Indie Fest’s “Best In Show”

Film Festival circuts are underway and Ashley’s Ashes has taken home the “Best In Show award from Indie Fest.

Michele co-stars as Sezah the gypsy pickpocket and joins and all-star ensemble cast including Willie Garson (Sex & The City), Daniel Baldwin, Scott Michael Foster (ABC’s Greek), Andy Milder (Weeds), and Orsen Bean (Being John Malkovich), among many others.

Few films capture the soul of one’s internal struggle with life. And fewer still reveal the subtle complexities of human contact, specifically how people reach out and connect with those they love, when they are with us and, more importantly, after they have gone.

Ashley’s Ashes is an open-hearted, bittersweet film that frankly confronts human isolation and the courage it takes to overcome it. Produced and directed by the creative team of Christopher Hutson and Chris Kazmier, Ashley’s Ashes recently won Indie Fest’s Best of Show award for best feature film. It’s not hard to see why.

Ashley’s Ashes, Award of Excellence

Ashley’s Ashes has been chosen to receive the Award of Excellence in Filmmaking at the 2010 Canada International Film Festival. Michele plays the role of Sezah, a gypsy/pickpocket/palmreader, and joins a talented, ensemble cast that includes Gigi Rice, Orson Bean, Willie Garson, Andy Milder, Daniel Baldwin, Scott Michael Foster, Lee Arenberg, Craig Sheffer, Clint Howard, and Googy Gress. The movie is a comedy, written and directed by Christopher Hudson & Chris Kazmier. This is the second feature Michele has completed with Fat Kid Films, the first being 2009 Lionsgate vampire release, BLED.

Basement Jack Wins Four Awards

BASEMENT JACK has swept all of its nominations over the weekend at the TERROR FILM FESTIVAL in Philadelphia, taking home trophies for BEST D.P., BEST ORIGINAL SCORE, BEST ACTOR, and BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY.

Michele as Claire Seu in THE SEER

The 8th annual International Fantasy and Horror Film Festival in Estepona, Spain awarded THE SEER “Best Score” this weekend. Michele stars as Claire Seu, a young woman who suffers from disturbing and prophetic visions that lead her to Sardegna, Italy in search of answers to the questions surrounding her brother’s mysterious death. Directed by Luigi Desole, this is the first feature for the Italian-based Nuragic Films.
