Feel Good Film Festival, Ashley’s Ashes

Ashley’s Ashes debuted in Los Angeles today and was warmly received by the audience at the Feel Good Film Festival. Among those in attendance were the film’s star/producer, Googy Gress, as well as one half of the directorial team, Chris Kazmier.

Ashley’s Ashes is a touching story about a man named Bob Tuttle who learns how to live his life again after he inherits an urn of unknown ashes, and goes on an adventure to discover the life and friends of the person inside. Michele Morrow plays Sezah, a modern day witch, and appears as one of the crazy cast of characters that Bob encounters along his journey. Rounding out this ensemble cast are beloved actors Orson Bean, Craig Sheffer, Clint Howard, Daniel Baldwin, Willie Garson, Lee Arenberg, Scott Michael Foster, Gigi Rice, Jeff Lewis, and Andy Milder.

Ashley’s Ashes wins Indie Fest’s “Best In Show”

Film Festival circuts are underway and Ashley’s Ashes has taken home the “Best In Show” award from Indie Fest.

Michele plays Sezah, a modern day witch/pickpocket and joins and all-star ensemble cast including Willie Garson (Sex & The City), Daniel Baldwin, Scott Michael Foster (ABC’s Greek), Andy Milder (Weeds), and Orsen Bean (Being John Malkovich), Craig Sheffer and Clint Howard, among many others.

Says Indie Fest:

Few films capture the soul of one’s internal struggle with life. And fewer still reveal the subtle complexities of human contact, specifically how people reach out and connect with those they love, when they are with us and, more importantly, after they have gone.

Ashley’s Ashes is an open-hearted, bittersweet film that frankly confronts human isolation and the courage it takes to overcome it. Produced and directed by the creative team of Christopher Hutson and Chris Kazmier, Ashley’s Ashes recently won Indie Fest’s Best of Show award for best feature film. It’s not hard to see why.

Ashley’s Ashes, Award of Excellence at Canada Film Festival

Ashley’s Ashes has been chosen to receive the Award of Excellence in Filmmaking at the 2010 Canada International Film Festival. Michele plays the role of Sezah, modern day witch/pickpocket, and joins a talented, ensemble cast that includes Gigi Rice, Orson Bean, Willie Garson, Andy Milder, Daniel Baldwin, Scott Michael Foster, Lee Arenberg, Craig Sheffer, Clint Howard, and Googy Gress. The movie is a dramatic comedy, written and directed by Christopher Hudson & Chris Kazmier. This is the second feature Michele has completed with Fat Kid Films/Chris Chris Entertainment, the first being 2009 Lionsgate vampire release, BLED.

Fangoria’s Trinity of Terrors: Las Vegas

Terror Film Festival in Philly

For those of you in Philly – check out the TERROR FILM FESTIVAL. From October 21-25, horror movie fans can get a sneak peek of BASEMENT JACK, which has been nominated for Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Actor, and Best Original Score.

BASEMENT JACK will screen on Friday, October 24th at 9pm. Tickets and passes are available online and at the door.
